About this time every year we are compelled to resolve how to do something better than we did last year and as the unemployment rate across the nation reach new highs and more and more people found themselves out the work. A different kind of resolution maybe on your mind this year.

Here is my list of what I think are good job search New Year Resolutions.

1. I will update my Linkedin Profile

2. If I don’t have a Linkedin account, I will create one.

3. I will Unfriend those from my Facebook account who are not going to help me in my job search.

4. I will remove all photos from my Facebook account I would not want my Grandmother to see.

5. I will start blogging about my career passions!

6. I will create an online version of my resume.

7. I will secure my own domain name.

8. I will use my Social Media accounts to let others know I am looking for a job.

9. I will be sure to follow up on all resume submissions with a personal note to the recruiter of hiring manager.

10. I will keep a positive attitude about my job search and go for the gold!
